Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers!!!

Tonight we took Reese to Peter Piper Pizza for dinner. She has a BLAST! We only bought five dollars worth of tokens for games but she would have been just as happy with none. Her absolute favorite was the merry go round

She liked to run around and watch the other kids playing games. She also enjoyed a bowling game but got kinda mad when the ball went away after she rolled it.

We had some tokens left that she didn't spend so Bob challenged me to shoot some hoops. I beat him....OF COURSE:)

It was a fun and inexpensive family night and we will for sure do it again!

Almost Done......

I HOPE!! My little painting project of the playroom and Reese's bathroom has grown to include our master bedroom and bath. Yes Bob I got a two for one deal! HA!

The painter came back on Monday to start in both rooms. The furniture we had in our room had seen better days so Bob agreed that we could also get new bedroom furniture. No sooner then he agreed to this I had new stuff picked out (literally)! So last weekend in preparation for the painter we moved all the old furniture out into the garage and all our clothes/toiletries upstairs. I listed all the old furniture on Craigslist and sold it all within 4 hours!! GREAT! Except for now we have no furniture:(

On Wednesday it was in the 80's. It was beautiful outside and Reese and I loved it until we came inside at bedtime to realize that is was also in the 80's upstairs and the AC unit that cools the upstairs was BUSTED! GREAT!

We opened some windows and turned on the fan in Reese's room and she slept just fine. However it was just too hot up there for Bob and I so we decided to drag the mattress from the bed upstairs, downstairs where it was cooler. Since our room was still a construction zone we parked the mattress in the family room right in front of the TV. Personally I thought is was fun...ya know kinda like a slumber party:) Bob was less then thrilled with the situation!

They finished up painting on Thursday and our bedroom and bathroom look so much better. I love it! We are waiting on the new light fixtures for the bathroom to come in on Monday and the furniture and new AC unit arrives on Wednesday and then it should be all done. I'll post some more pictures once it is all done but here is look at our newly painted bedroom with no furniture...

Bath Time..

I had so much fun doing Reese's playroom so this week I am doing Reese's bathroom. Bob usually gives Reese her bath at night. We started this trend pretty early when I was still nursing and bath time became there time to bond. Now only Daddy can do bath time because apparently I am just not as fun as him:)

With Bob out of town this week..bath time is my job. I was wanting some good bath time pics to frame in Reese's re-done bathroom so I thought tonight would be a fun time to take some pic's.

Here they are..

So stay tuned for pics from Reese's new bathroom:)

TA DA!

Take a look at Reese's new playroom...

This room is really supposed to be a media room. We never really made it a true "media" room and it was really just a room filled with Bob's sports stuff and my treadmill which was on it's last leg. So we emptied out all that stuff and it is now a fun filled lilac room...just what every little girl needs:)

Thursday Thirteen!

I haven't done a Thursday post in a while so here is a look at what we've been up to in the last few weeks.

1.) Bob recently spent a week in New York helping his boss close a multi million dollar deal. Two days later he came home and spent four hours fixing my kitchen sink. I am very proud of him for both accomplishments!

2.) Reese celebrated her 15 month-day. In the last two weeks she has gone from our sweet loving baby to a full on fit throwing, feet stomping toddler! I think I have cried at least once a day in dealing with her. Most days I am mentally checked out by the time Bob gets home.

3.) Although Reese has been a a little more challenging lately..we still ADORE her! When she isn't in the midst of a breakdown she is super fun to play with. Here she is sitting in her rocking chair that my mom painted.

4.) We have had painters in the house this week as I am finally turning the media room into a playroom. All of Bob's sports memorabilia has found a nice home in the attic. Sorry Daddy:) I'll post some pics when it's all done.

5.) Bob said he wanted to start a Valentine tradition of taking Reese and I out for a Valentine date. We went out to eat last night to avoid the crowd and because Bob's parents are coming for a visit this weekend.

6.) Reese had been having a particularly hard day so I thought it best to eat somewhere LOUD. We went to Cheesecake Factory and we took two cars. Bob offered to take Reese home after dinner and let me hit a few places in the mall and Target. He's a good hubby and Daddy! Thanks lovey!

7.) Reese and I had our picture made for a Valentine present for Daddy! We did this last year as well. Take a look...

8.) Bob and I are still running and are doing another half marathon on March 15th here in Dallas. This will be a training run for the big race in April. I am a little sad and humbled to say that Bob is officially a better runner then me now. (but I used to be better then him..he never even ran until he met me!) He and I are very competitive but when it comes right down to the finish line..we would probably try to let the other one win.

9.) Reese is obsessed with graham cracker sticks. I have no idea why but for some reason she goes crazy for them. Not just plain graham crackers either..they have to be the "morning sticks". She stands at the pantry door and begs and cries for some. When we go to the pantry to actually give her one she gets so excited it is HILARIOUS! Most of the time it is Daddy who gives in and lets her have one. Mean old Mommy usually says no because she would eat them ALL DAY LONG if I would let her.

10.) Bob went to a charity Boxing event and met Sugar Ray Leonard!

11.) I continue to thank God for the simple things in life such as NAPTIME!

12.) Reese and I went to a playgroup with some of our Strollerfit friends yesterday and she played so hard she barely made it home:)

13.) I'm looking forward to Grey's tonight:)))

Swimming School Graduate!

Last Saturday Reese and Bob completed the last "Daddy and Me" swimming class. Bob was so proud of her! Each week he said she did better and better. Although she isn't swimming laps in our pool yet she learned to kick her feet, jump in off the side and go underwater all alone and put her face in the water. She also learned how to get up from the side of the pool. They taught them to hike one leg up and pretty much drag the rest of your body up to the deck. I think this is a good skill considering that she can't actually swim yet and could help her should she accidentally fall in. However I am now going around the house catching her utilizing the "leg hike" in order to climb up and onto everything, the dishwasher, into the bathtub, furniture etc. Some pieces of furniture are still too tall and then I find her dangling and hollering for help..NICE! Anyway, as usual she keeps me laughing and busy!

Here she is after class..needing some water after all her hard work.
