Missouri

Last weekend we made a quick and impromptu trip to see Mimi and Bob! We ended up driving all kinds of crazy all night and Bob and I were TIRED but it was perfect for Reesey P! Seriously she was a trooper! Probably her best road trip yet in her 2.5 short years of life!

Mimi watches cousin Nate while Aunt Tiffany(Bob's sis) is teaching school. On Friday morning when Nathan got there he and Reese went walking off hand in hand to explore the toys! It was SO cute..I only wish I had been prepared with my camera:( Anyhow these two became fast friends and had a wonderful day together. Reese kept calling him "that little boy" and followed him everywhere! Look at these sweet cousins enjoying the view at Mimi's,

After school got out Cousin Nick and Aunt Tiff came to join us. We had a cookout and the kids played outside until late! Reese had a blast!!

Mimi has tons of toys...like this tricycle..

and golf cart! Although the kiddo's weren't sure about sharing it:)

After driving nearly all night we spent most of the next day in our Pj's. Can't beat doing some dancing with Mimi in your jammmies...

Ummmm in case you cant tell....I HEART this girl!!!!

Reese got some good cooking time with Mimi..

All in all it was a super fun fast weekend! Thanks Mimi and Bob!

Mothers Day 2010!

This year was my 3rd Mother's Day. My how time flies!!! Reese's big surprise for me was her first big art show! She had been talking about wanting to have an art show for awhile so she and Daddy sent me out on a few errands and did the final preparations.

Hor D' euvers for all!

Beverages for all!

A sampling of her work..

Happy Mother's Day to me and all our favorite Mom's out there! Thanks Daddy and Reese! Love you both!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This year we celebrated Bob's birthday in low key style! Most of you know that life has been pretty crazy for us lately so he said all he wanted was a quite dinner with his two girls (and of course cake and presents)! Ha!

He was able to go on an impromptu fishing trip as part of his birthday week. In all the years we have known each other he has never fished. In fact I asked him when he was leaving with his buddies..if he even knew how to fish?? ha! He was pretty proud of himself when he sent me this pic..

Pretty glad that Reese and I got to sit this trip out. Fishing is not my thing!! ha!

When he got back to town Reese and I had made this leaning tower of cake! ha! Happy Birthday to you!

The Arboretum

Last week we packed a picnic lunch and went to the Dallas Arboretum with some of our friends. It was a gorgeous day and the flowers were wonderful! I had high hopes for some super great pictures in the blooms but y'all know that I am not a good photographer and with 6 two year olds we were doing good to just get pics like this...

without a single kid getting lost or falling in the water. Ha!

Even without the pictures we had a great day. The girls rocked some "ring around the rosy" a bazillion times!

And even let the boys play once or twice:)
