Long Lazy Weekend...

It seems like lately we have been going a million different directions so we were happy to have some downtime this weekend. On Friday night Reese went to Parents Night Out at Mygym which she LOVES! Bob and I went to eat at Loft 610 and just enjoyed a little time together before going back to get our little gymster. When we got back we found her playing in the water of course!!

On Saturday I went to get a much needed haircut while Bob and Reese hung out. When I got back I accidentally did this....

to Bob's car! This is the second time in a short time that I have had a similar accident so I will be visiting the eye doctor soon! I am sooo upset with myself:(

I'm not gonna lie this week has been HARD! Reese has perfected the toddler fit complete with feet stomping, kicking, screaming etc. Twice this week I had to literally drag her out of public places kicking and screaming. I never thought I would be "that mom"!

For the last few months I have been serving on the altar guild at our church. Basically we prepare the altar for communion and then remove it afterwards. I enjoy it and it is an easy way for me to serve the Lord in our church. So today we went to church and when I dropped Reese off in the nursery she SCREAMED! I mean one of her worst fits ever! Keep in mind that she has been going to this nursery her whole life. Normally she goes in the nursery at church and the gym without complaint but today no such luck!

After church myself and another lady were taking down the altar. I was quiet and thinking about going back to get my fit throwing kid when the other lady told me that she had been trying to get pregnant for 5 years and how much her and her husband would love to have a child. Seriously I felt sooo guilty! I love love love my little Reese and I wouldn't trade her for anything even if she is the worlds worst fit thrower! I guess God sometimes has a funny way of making us apprecitae what we have! Thank you God for my family:))

After church and naps for everyone we went swimming. Reese has yet another new floater and I'm pretty sure this one is the bomb..she loves it and so do I!

Our favorite neighbors came over to swim and eat dinner and Bob grilled some yummy fajitas! Our neighbors have twin daughters who are so sweet and pretty and Reese loves them! The best part about these girls is that they are growing into great babysitters. I love there Momma and I know they are truly sweet girls and I am happy for Reese to have them as role models. At first she always looked at them like she was seeing double but now she seems to get that there are two of them. All three girls played with the chalk while we fixed dinner.

After dinner Reese and Renee went swimming some more.

Look at Miss Reese totally doing her own thing in the pool! She is like a little fish:)

Don't worry though they were under the watchful eyes of the Daddy's!

Swimmin'

Reese and I have been swimming almost every day since May (sometimes several times a day). She wakes up in the morning asking to get in the water and she would swim ALL day long if I would let her. She has absolutely no fear of the water and LOVES getting her face wet and going underwater. We have several different flotation aids for her none of which she will wear so obviously we have to constantly be on gurard because she will just jump right in.

However this past weekend we finally got her to wear some floaties and she was so darn excited when she realized she could kick all around the pool by herself.

Happy Summer Everyone!!

Fourth of July

Bob's parents came to visit us for the fourth of July this year. We didn't really do much, just a lot of playing, and visiting.

When Mimi and Bob arrived Reese served them tea...

Reese was super excited to get some new "hostages" in the Barbie house, Mimi and Lady!

Mimi was also pretty good at hopscotch!

On the 4th I made homemade ice cream for the first time ever. My Mom usually always makes it but she was in Florida this year visiting my brother. I was pretty proud of myself and Reese liked it too. I let her and Bob eat the ice cream off the beater thingy...

When we said "Happy 4th of July" to Reese she respnded with "Happy July" which sounded like Happy Luly..it was cute.
