Friday Funday!

Today Reese and I had our friends Piper, Brody and the newest addition to their family Colton over for some play time. Luckily 5 week old Colton slept most of the time while the two toddlers played and the Mommy's enjoyed some adult conversation.
Reese was super excited when the doorbell rang and it was the UPS man. Yep that's right...another fun package from Mimi:)

After opening the boxes we didn't even open any of the actual presents because the kiddo's had so much fun playing with this.....

After lots of playing the kids took the jeep to the "drive in" to see Elmo!!

Hoo-Ray for Spring!!

We had such a wonderful week playing outside in the sunshine. We played and played and took a few pictures of the fun. In honor of Spring Break, Bob left early on Thursday and came to watch Reese at MyGym. Let me tell you this girl LOVES the trampoline....

On Saturday we went to a nursery to buy some plants for the yard. I started planting during nap time. When Reese woke up Bob took her to Market Street to get something to grill for dinner. Obviously it is more fun to go to the store with Daddy because he let her do this...

When they got home I was almost finished planting the 200 Begonia's!! Reese came to help and boy she was a filthy little helper when we were all done.

Today after church we stopped to take some pictures in the Tulips that our HOA planted. I love them..they are so gorgeous. Taking pictures was a bit of a challenge but we got a few.

After nap time we played outside and Reese "mowed" the yard. She loves her little mower..thanks Macie!

Since Lady and Nike don't get to come in the house anymore we try to play with them more when we are outside. We let them come into the front yard with us and as usual Lady runs around like a crazy dog and gets into trouble. In typical Lady style she acts totally horrible and just when you want to kill her she does something really sweet. Bob was yelling at her and she came and layed down beside Reese. Reese said, "AWWWWW"! It was sooo funny!!

Thanks Erin!

I am not so sure I deserve this Blog Award and certainly I must thank Lindsey! However I was given the award so I must play along:)

Here are the rules....pretty simple!

List 7 things you love and pass the award on to 7 people.

1.) God

2.) Reese and Bob...love them both to death!

3.) Our extended family, grandparents, siblings and Reese's cousins.

4.) Running

5.) Sunshine and being outdoors

6.) Nike

7.) Young and the Restless and Gilmore Girls...and the DVR so I actually get to watch them both!

For the awards...I tag Kristi, Lindsay, Kelly, Becca, Amber (in your spare time..she just had baby #2 today), Kara, Missy

All Done...

for now! Reese's bathroom and our bedroom are finished. Once the painter finished we just had to replace the light fixtures and wait on the new furniture to arrive. I was so proud of Bob because he replaced all the light fixtures in both bathrooms.

Here are a few pictures of Reese's bathroom....

And our bedroom....

I haven't finished "accessorizing" our bathroom so I didn't take any pictures of it yet. Where do y'all shop for this stuff???

In a few months I am gonna do the kitchen..don't tell Bob:) HA!

Rock to Victory!

This past Sunday Bob and I ran the "Rock to Victory" half marathon. We ran the first 8 miles together before he ran off and left me:( He's getting fast!! Even though he beat me I still trimmed 4 minutes of my time to finish in 2:04. My folks were in town watching Reese so after the race we got massages. By far the best part of the day:)

Lucky Little Leprechaun!

Mimi (Bob's mom) always sends a fun package for every holiday. A few days ago the UPS man came to the door with a package for Reese. When I told her she got a package she said, "Oh Boy!" Reese got this fun St Patrick's day little people set and a really cute outfit. Mommy and Daddy got some yummy candy which was quickly devoured by me..Oops (I'm sure it was zero points. Ha!)

Sweet Sixteen-Month Day!

I haven't really kept up the month day posts since Reese's birthday so this is a random sixteen month post which Reese celebrated yesterday.

Little Miss Reese is more fun and more challenging then ever. She knows exactly what she wants but has a hard time expressing her desires with words. i.e. She's a little fit thrower! I have realized that I am totally not equipped or prepared for handling these outbursts and many times I find them stressful. Clearly I should have read less books about pregnancy/breastfeeding and more about parenting toddlers:) How do y'all handle this?

However she is SO fun to play with. She loves to go outside and will stand at the door and beg and cry to go out. I love to be outdoors as well so we spend most afternoons playing outside. She is talking a lot and she makes us laugh with her words. Some of her favorites right now are wagon, dog, bird, NO!, yea, rock and ball.

She loves to ride in her wagon...

and of course Miss Independent also likes to push the wagon! She pushes it backward and says.."beep, beep beep." It cracks me up!

Lately I have been following a few friend of friends blogs such as this onePraying for Harper. As soon as I started reading this blog I immediately started praying for this little girl. Fortunately looks like she is going to be just fine but I know there are so many others who are less fortunate. Bob and I realize how blessed we are that God chose us to be parents to a perfectly healthy little girl. I just wanted y'all to know that I thank God every day for my fit throwing little toddler:) To Reese I say BRING IT ON! I'm gonna win! I'm afraid this may only be the beginning..Sigh!
