Happy Valentine's Day!

Every year Reese and I have our picture made together as a Valentine gift for Daddy. The last two years she was mostly crying in the pics and therefore I was stressed. This year however she was quite the little ham! She had a blast..thanks to my friend Kristy for the recommendation we got a ton of pictures for cheap at Portrait Innovations. Here are some of my favorites! Enjoy!

The ones with the boa totally cracked me up! Back at Halloween I bought Reese a boa to go with her Fancy Nancy costume and she wouldn't even look at the darn thing much less wear it. As soon as we got to the portrait studio she noticed a bunch of props on the wall and insisted on wearing a boa..go figure! She really wanted the pink or yellow one but luckily we were able to persuade her to at least wear the red one.

I have never seen Reese laugh so much especially in front of a camera! I was thrilled with the staff and how great they were with her. She LOVED it and therefore so did I. Happy Valentine's Day Daddy. We love you!!

A Fun Valentine Surprise...

came in the mail last week from Mimi and Bob in Missouri. Thank God it came late in the day because I told Reese we had to wait for Daddy to get home to open it. This is what she did for close to an hour waiting on him:)

You would think there isn't a single toy in the house the way this child was acting! Ha!

Finally Daddy got home and we went to work opening presents. Can you tell she was THRILLED!!

This pink ball was one of the favorites of the many gifts.

Of course Mommy's favorite is all these clothes:) Thanks Mimi!!

Mimi saved alot of Bob's childhood toys and the second box was TONS of his old cars. I'm not sure who was more excited to play with these!!

Thanks again Mimi and Bob!

More Snow day 2!

This morning almost immediatly upon waking up Reese wanted to go outside and play with her snowman. Daddy had to go back to work so I tried to convincve her we should wait until it warmed up a bit to go out. After breakfast and playing inside for ahwile I finally gave in to the begging to go outside. We took a self portrait before heading outside...

We found some little friends to play with. Reese and our sweet neighbor Emma were throwing snowballs at each other while the older kids played and the mommys froze!

Reese had fun just exploring in the snow. There were some places that she could barely walk bceause the snow was so deep. We didn't stay out nearly as long as it was COLD out there!

We came inside for some hot chocolate and of course peeking out the window at our snowman!

Snow, Snow Snow!!

Yesterday we got record snowfall for North Texas. Something like 12 or so inches, which breaks the record for the last 111 years...Yikes! Reese had MDO yesterday and although it was snowing in the morning it wasn't bad yet so they still had school. By the time she got out at 2:00 it was still snowing and starting to get bad so Bob came home from work early to go pick her up. She was dying to go out and make a snowman before school so I promised her we would go out once she got home. We didn't waist any time getting bundled up to go out.

Daddy quickly went to work on building a snowman.

Reese mostly enjoyed eating the snow. This being her first time ever to play in it she was pretty excited.

We threw some snowballs and Daddy shoveled the sidewalk.

Last but not least after careful instruction from Daddy we made snow angels!!

After we went inside Reese wanted to look out the window at her snowman every few minutes..it was so cute!

Happy Birthday to our sweet friend Blakey!

Our favorite little neighbor friend turned 9 last week. We all went to dinner at Jinbeh on her birthday night. Both girls were thrilled with the flame throwing acrobatics of our chef!

I forgot my camera so please excuse the crummy phone pics:(
Here's one of the Daddys...

Little Miss Blake is in LOVE with the big cupcake cakes so I made these for her party(thanks again to my sweet friend Erin for loaning me the cake pan)! They were no where near perfect but she was happy with them so I was thrilled!

Happy Birthday Blake! We love you!!!

Welcome to the family Grandpa Kitty...

A few weeks ago out of the blue Reese started carrying around this...

and saying it was a kitty. Yes that's right folks its a wooden toy baguette! ha! She named him Grandpa Kitty. She carried him all over the house finding comfy places in the sunshine for him to nap. She fed him and loved on him and after seeing the way she cradled it in her arms so much it honestly started to look like a kitty to me.

I just love her vivid imagination! When Mimi came to town she insisted that this poor neglected child needed a kitty! Since Bob and I are not cat people we agreed on this one...

Good thing it walks, meows and purrs because its the closest she'll ever get to a real cat. She also named it Grandpa kitty!!

Go Mommy!!!

Back in October I started going to Jay Johnson's Boot Camp. It is crazy hard and addictive all at the same time..I have made some cool friends and I love it! Anyhow once a month we have to take a PT test..which is the same test for the military. It's HARD! It only took me three months to pass but I recently did and I got this...

A Crazy Whirlwind!!

The last month has been absolutely CRAZY!! People have been emailing about why I haven't posted on my blog. Sorry guys but here it is in a nutshell...

On Dec 29th I wrecked my car. Reese was with me and we were both safe and sound but the car..well not so much! We had been in the market for a new car for Bob for awhile anyway so while we were down to one car we went ahead and bought a new one for Bob. On the 2nd day of being a new car owner Bob had a meeting in OKC and took the new car. It was late when he got home and he said he thought the seat warmer had burned his side. (this is where I laughed..sorry honey)! Over the next week the seat warmer burn turned into some pretty serious abdominal pain and I sent poor Bob to the doctor. The doctor scared us out of our mind with some pretty scary ideas of what was wrong with him. During this time we got an impromptu visit from Mimi and Bob who helped watch Reese while we were running back and forth to the doctor.

You may notice Reese's new friend "granpa kitty" in this picture...another post about that coming soon!

Grandpa Bob had a birthday while he was here so we had a little celebration for that.

After several days of tests, tears and prayers it was finally determined that he had gallstones. Although that still required surgery we were thrilled to know it wasn't more serious. He had his gallbladder removed last Friday. Here is his right before surgery..he had already had his "cocktail" and he was seriously funny:)

Again sorry honey for the picture but I couldn't resist!

He was released the same day and was really not in horrible shape afterwards other then he slept a lot and was not supposed to lift Reese for 1 week! Needless to say I was on duty taking care of both of them for about 5 days! The first few days Bob slept almost all day so Reese and I just tried to leave him alone and keep quiet. One day at Kroger she insisted on bringing this to Daddy...

although I'm pretty sure she just wanted it for herself (smart girl huh)!!

After the third day Reese was really missing Daddy so they spent some time like this..

Thanks to everyone for your help, thoughts and prayers. We are greatly appreciative!
