Let there be light....

This year is the first time since we have lived in Texas that we hired someone to hang Christmas lights. We always said we would never do it but you know kids will make you do crazy things! ha! They came to hang them last Tuesday which is a MDO day for Reese. She was sooo disappointed that she didn't get to watch the entire process but I promised her it would be a great surprise when she got home.

They put the lights on a timer and they were supposed to come on at 6. So we hurried up after dinner and went outside to wait for the surprise. Bob pulled his car around front so he could play Christmas music and he and Reese were dancing around the yard as we waited..seriously I'm not sure who is the bigger kid!:)

When they came on Reese was so excited, she said "Oh boy thank you Daddy". So sweet!

Don't worry we aren't turing them on all the time until after Thanksgiving but we are starting to get in the Christmas mood around here:)

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I got lucky this year and my birthday fell on a Saturday. Bob and Reese went out for there normal Saturday morning breakfast date and stayed gone most of the morning so I could sleep in. It was AWESOME! This is what they brought me when they came back.

I think Bob was trying to keep it a surprise until later but Reese came running in the house yelling "cake mommy, cake mommy!" That's my girl:)

Reese was dying to eat some so she ate her lunch and then we cut the cake. Yes that's right it was lunch time and I was still in pajamas..nice huh! The cake was delicious!

In the evening we got a sitter and went out to dinner with the Caffreys and the Hoopers! It was a great laid back birthday!

Reese's Birthday Weekend!

On Saturday after Reese's birthday we took Reese along with Nanny and Poppy to the aquarium. It was our first trip and not exactly what we had expected but we had a great time. Reese was fascinated with it all as were the adults!

Greeting the penguins as soon as we arrived.

Nanny was brave enough to feed this bird while the rest of us just watched.

We stopped to have a little break and Reese decided this group looked more fun! She started out sitting next to me and she kept slowly inching closer and closer to them. She's quite a social butterfly:)

After we left the aquarium we stopped at Landry's for a yummy lunch. It was a beautiful day so we got to sit outside. Reese was more interested in playing with Poppy then eating.

On Sunday at church Reese and I got to go up front for our birthday blessing! Seriously I would go up front for a birthday blessing every single week but Bob won't let me..he's no fun huh:)!

After church and naps Blakey came over to watch some football..well maybe the Daddy's were watching football but it was a good excuse to get together:) Reese LOVES this girl!!

Reesey P Turned Two...

on Friday Nov, 6th! Bob took the day off to hang out with us so we decided to give her her present from us first thing in the morning. The pink kitchen was a big hit!! She was so excited she wouldnt even stop playing to eat breakfast:)

Since Mimi and Bob are coming for Chrsitmas they weren't able to make it to town for her birthday but they sent TONS of goodies for her. We let her open those as well and this is one of the things they sent...

She also got this vacuum from my brother and his family. You would think this thing was gold plated or something because she won't let a single person even touch it! If I hear "no no mine" one more time..ugggghhh!!

Reese and I got some beautiful flowers from Daddy..pink for Reesey and red for Mommy! He's a good Daddy:)

In the evening we had Nanny, Poppy and a few friends over for cake and ice cream.

The kids were serious about breaking in the new kitchen..

and playing in the toy closet!

Reese had a blast with some of her favorite peeps...Sweet Landry

Gabby (and her twin sister Renee)

and of course Blakey! Reese adores this girl:))

Thank God for my sweet friend Erin or I would have NO pictures! She took these super cute pics of Reese just being silly. You Rock Erin!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Reese! We Love You!

Wordless Wednesday!

Well maybe a few words:) On Saturday Bob and Reese went for their Saturday morning breakfast date and then to run a few errands to get ready for Halloween night. These are the pics that Bob sent me from his phone throughout the morning. Reese has all of a sudden started "needing" to take EVERYTHING with her whenever we go somewhere. Daddy was a real trooper with Reese and her many friends! Have I ever mentioned that he's a bit of a pushover:))

Trick or Treat!

Halloween is Bob's favorite Holiday. Apparently growing up in St Louis, Halloween was a BIG deal! He has said several times that he has waited his entire life to have a kid to take trick or treating!:) Since last year Reese could barely walk, this year they were both ready to go!

We started out going to our neighbors BIG block party. Reese got her costume on before the party which started at 4:30. We were waiting for our friends to walk over and go with us and Reese was getting so impatient..she was READY to trick or treat. She was a little disappointed that we wouldn't let her start going door to door at 430! Here's a look at all our FAV neighbor kids all dressed and ready to go.

Blake the geisha, Renee the pirate and Gabby as Robin hood! Reese loves the girls and they are all really sweet with her.

After the block party the twins headed over to a party at their friends house and the other Daddy's took Reese and Blake out to trick or treat.

How cute is this?!!

Bob was thrilled with how well Reese did and they both had a blast! When they got back the little girls went to bed and the adults bonded around the fire pit out in the yard! It was all good until Reese woke up sometime in the night and realized that Blake was still at our house. I ended up with both girls in the bed and Daddy got booted upstairs...uggg!

Needless to say we were all pretty tired in the morning but we had a great time and cant wait to do it again next year!

Fancy Nancy goes to Mygym!

Last week was costume class at Mygym. They played spooky music, sang Halloween songs and did the normal Mygym routine in costume.

Reese kept her sunglasses on almost the entire time and she only put her purse down when it was absolutely necessary. She was serious about being "fancy"!

Look at Reese's friend "Landry the Ladybug"! I LOVE these two girls and they love each other...so sweet!

Even Mrs Jenny wore a costume! She was making Reese laugh with her funky get up..

We love Mygym!!

Thanks again to my sweet friend Erin(Landry's momma) for the pics! She's so good I'm recruiting her to be my personal photographer:))

The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm

Last week Reese and I made the trip to Celina with her buddies Landry and Elise(and there mommas of course). Because of all the rain we had already rescheduled our trip twice. So although it was COLD we decided to go anyway since the sun was shining. It was a muddy mess out there but we had fun!

Here they are at the front entrance and excited to go in!

As soon as we walked in there were tons of animals waiting to eat and they were HUNGRY!

This is what Reese thought about the HUGE cow...Mooooo!

Landry and Reese had quite a time chasing this rooster as Reese was yelling Cock-a Doodle-doo! Ha!

Next it was time to drive the tractor. This was by far Reese's favorite part. She screamed when I made her get down so someone else could get on..mean old momma!

After that we went on a hay ride and then posed for a few pics before letting the girls go out in the patch to pick their pumpkins.

Reese searched high and low...

for THE PERFECT PUMPKIN!

Oh yeah and thanks to my friend Erin for the awesome pics! She's quite the photographer huh?!!
