The Dallas Zoo!

Today we took Reese to the Dallas Zoo. She loves being oustside and was totally entertained by just hanging out and looking at everything. There weren't tons of animals at this zoo but luckily Reese didn't really care:)

Hey Mom watch out for that turtle!!

Gerome the Giraffe is so cool too!

The best part was coming home and realizing that Reese is way more excited about the zoo animals that live in our house! She loves her doggies:)

My First Mother's Day

When Bob asked me what I wanted to do for Mother's Day I said how about going to the Dallas Arboretum or the zoo...he said, "How about a Baseball game?" NICE! Really all I wanted to do was spend the day together anyway so that is what we did. We all three went to church, went for a run (I made Bob push the stroller) and then I got to plant some flowers in the yard while Bob and Reese played and watched me. She loves being outside and was quite content. I had a wonderful first Mother's Day and enjoyed the time with my little family.

On Saturday night we went to eat sushi my choice for Mother's Day..YUM! This is the fountain in front of Kotta. Reese loved the fountain:)

On the way home from church we took some pics in the wildflowers in a field by our house...who needs the arboretum right?

Yes I sat down in the field in my white pants!!

Happy Half-Birthday Reese!!

Yesterday Reese turned 6 months old! I know I say this every month but I am just amazed at how fast the time is going. I am certain this year is going to be the fastest year of my life. Along with rolling all over the place, "talking" and laughing all the time Reese is now sitting up.

Reese celebrated her half-Birthday with her first bites of cereal. I think she got more on her face then in her tummy:)

Of course we couldn't have a half-Birthday without a present:) A really cool Winnie the Pooh talking phone. Reese loves Winnie the Pooh!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Today we celebrated Bob's Birthday..I won't tell you how old he is but trust me he is OLD..6 years older then me! Reese and I actually started the celebration on Friday by making this cookie cake to take to the office.

On Saturday we went to OKC for my friend Heather's baby shower. While I was at the shower Bob and Reese went to the mall and just happened to bump into some really cool people.

After the shower we went to Nannie and Poppy's to spend the night. Nannie (my mom) makes this awesome cake from scratch called a twead cake. It has been our traditional family birthday cake for as long as I can remember. It is kind off hard to make so we really only get one on birthdays. Everyone loves it and we all fight over the last piece. Because Bob is sooooo spoiled Nannie actually made two of them so there would be enough to go around. Here is the first one....we had an early birthday taste of cake on Saturday night.

On Sunday my brother Charlie and his wife Christy and kids Andrew and Zach came over. We had fried chicken (not the healthiest of meals but it is Bob's favorite) and another cake.

When we came home Bob opened his presents from his parents and sister Tiffany with a little help from Reese.

Last but not least Reese and I gave Bob his present from us.

Yes against my better judgment I got Bob a chainsaw!!! He has been asking for a chainsaw for the last two years. We have no large trees on our property and absolutely no need to own a chainsaw but this is what he wanted so Reese and I headed over to Sears and bought one. Boy was that fun(yea right)! If any of you ever have a need for a chainsaw please be sure and call Bob so he might actually get to use it. All in all I think we had a great day and lots of fun celebrating. Happy Birthday Lovey.....I Love you!
