Yo Gabba Gabba...

All our family went home on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. I wanted to spend the day working on my Christmas decorations so Bob decided to take Reese to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Reese loves her some Yo Gabba, she can sing most of the songs and knows all the characters. I wasn't sure how she would do but we thought it was worth a try. They both had a BLAST! Bob said Reese was yelling "Yo Gabba Gabba" with the crowd and she sang and danced throughout the whole show.

Here she is waiting for the show to start eating the snack I sent her.

Wathcing the show with her glow stick that Daddy bought her.

After the show with Daddy!

Daddy said you can't go to a concert without getting a t-shirt:)

Reese has been talking about the show all week and even told her teachers at MDO about it!

Much to be Thankful For...

We changed up our routine a little this year and it was fun! Reese and I (and Daddy) cooked A-LOT! Daddy and the other Daddy's played golf on Wednesday and Reese and I started cooking..

We made some yummy white chili which we shared with my parents and The Caffrey's on Wednesday night. Blake brought over a bunch of dress up clothes and the girls played while the adults ate and visited.

On Thanksgiving morning we had a yummy brunch with the Caffrey's and the Hooper's and then watched the parade. Reese was not at all intersted in the parade until "Yo Gabba Gabba" came on..she was tha-rilllled! It was so CUTE!

After everyone went home Reese helped Nanny and Poppy browse the adds for Black Friday. Mom and I needed to scope out our shopping plan and I think Reese was pointing out things she wanted for Christmas:)!

Next it was time for Daddy to get the turkey ready to go into the oven. Lately nobody can cook anything in our house without a little helper and this was no exception. They were both pretty proud of this bird...which they named "Stanley"!

After nap time we walked over the to the Caffreys for wine and cheese and part of the Cowboys game. It was a nice little snack before the big meal..the girls played tennis while the adults well..had wine:)

The Caffreys deep fried a turkey and this was something I had never seen before so I was pretty interested in the process...

It was a HUGE mess but really good too!

Then it was time to go home and take our turkey out of the oven and get ready for the big meal.

Look at these three beggars..Nanny, Reesey and Blakey! Of course Daddy gave them bites as he was carving the turkey:)

We pretty much ate and ate and the girls played and played all day! It was a great Holiday with wonderful friends and family! We are very thankful for them all! Happy Thanksgiving!

Let there be light....

This year is the first time since we have lived in Texas that we hired someone to hang Christmas lights. We always said we would never do it but you know kids will make you do crazy things! ha! They came to hang them last Tuesday which is a MDO day for Reese. She was sooo disappointed that she didn't get to watch the entire process but I promised her it would be a great surprise when she got home.

They put the lights on a timer and they were supposed to come on at 6. So we hurried up after dinner and went outside to wait for the surprise. Bob pulled his car around front so he could play Christmas music and he and Reese were dancing around the yard as we waited..seriously I'm not sure who is the bigger kid!:)

When they came on Reese was so excited, she said "Oh boy thank you Daddy". So sweet!

Don't worry we aren't turing them on all the time until after Thanksgiving but we are starting to get in the Christmas mood around here:)

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I got lucky this year and my birthday fell on a Saturday. Bob and Reese went out for there normal Saturday morning breakfast date and stayed gone most of the morning so I could sleep in. It was AWESOME! This is what they brought me when they came back.

I think Bob was trying to keep it a surprise until later but Reese came running in the house yelling "cake mommy, cake mommy!" That's my girl:)

Reese was dying to eat some so she ate her lunch and then we cut the cake. Yes that's right it was lunch time and I was still in pajamas..nice huh! The cake was delicious!

In the evening we got a sitter and went out to dinner with the Caffreys and the Hoopers! It was a great laid back birthday!

Reese's Birthday Weekend!

On Saturday after Reese's birthday we took Reese along with Nanny and Poppy to the aquarium. It was our first trip and not exactly what we had expected but we had a great time. Reese was fascinated with it all as were the adults!

Greeting the penguins as soon as we arrived.

Nanny was brave enough to feed this bird while the rest of us just watched.

We stopped to have a little break and Reese decided this group looked more fun! She started out sitting next to me and she kept slowly inching closer and closer to them. She's quite a social butterfly:)

After we left the aquarium we stopped at Landry's for a yummy lunch. It was a beautiful day so we got to sit outside. Reese was more interested in playing with Poppy then eating.

On Sunday at church Reese and I got to go up front for our birthday blessing! Seriously I would go up front for a birthday blessing every single week but Bob won't let me..he's no fun huh:)!

After church and naps Blakey came over to watch some football..well maybe the Daddy's were watching football but it was a good excuse to get together:) Reese LOVES this girl!!

Reesey P Turned Two...

on Friday Nov, 6th! Bob took the day off to hang out with us so we decided to give her her present from us first thing in the morning. The pink kitchen was a big hit!! She was so excited she wouldnt even stop playing to eat breakfast:)

Since Mimi and Bob are coming for Chrsitmas they weren't able to make it to town for her birthday but they sent TONS of goodies for her. We let her open those as well and this is one of the things they sent...

She also got this vacuum from my brother and his family. You would think this thing was gold plated or something because she won't let a single person even touch it! If I hear "no no mine" one more time..ugggghhh!!

Reese and I got some beautiful flowers from Daddy..pink for Reesey and red for Mommy! He's a good Daddy:)

In the evening we had Nanny, Poppy and a few friends over for cake and ice cream.

The kids were serious about breaking in the new kitchen..

and playing in the toy closet!

Reese had a blast with some of her favorite peeps...Sweet Landry

Gabby (and her twin sister Renee)

and of course Blakey! Reese adores this girl:))

Thank God for my sweet friend Erin or I would have NO pictures! She took these super cute pics of Reese just being silly. You Rock Erin!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Reese! We Love You!

Wordless Wednesday!

Well maybe a few words:) On Saturday Bob and Reese went for their Saturday morning breakfast date and then to run a few errands to get ready for Halloween night. These are the pics that Bob sent me from his phone throughout the morning. Reese has all of a sudden started "needing" to take EVERYTHING with her whenever we go somewhere. Daddy was a real trooper with Reese and her many friends! Have I ever mentioned that he's a bit of a pushover:))
