Go Cowboys!!

Last week Bob's boss generously gave us his 4 Cowboy tickets. We were so THRILLED to get to go and take our fav people the Caffrey's! Blake and Reese stayed home with Miss Lauren but they still got dressed to root for the Cowboys! Reese loves her some Tony Romo! (as do I!) Reese was taking her nap when we left so she missed the initial pre-game pics but we still captured her in her gear.

The new stadium was awesome, our seats were even better and the Cowboys WON!!! We had a great time! Yay Cowboys!!

The last of Christmas....

On the day after Christmas my parents decided to brave the roads and head back to Oklahoma. We spent the morning opening presents with Mimi and Bob. I am sad to realize that we didn't take very many pictures but here are a few of the fun things Reese got.

A cool pink remote control car..

several super cute outfits but this is the one Reese chose to model!

In the afternoon we played play-doh and got Babes chicken as we enjoyed our last night with Mimi and Bob!

Thanks everyone for coming! We had a wonderful Christmas with you all!

Christmas Day!

I'm fairly certain that on Christmas morning all the adults were just as excited as Reese! We had to wake everyone up and let them all get cameras and coffee before we let Reese come downstairs to see her goodies! She was THRILLED with the balloons! Once she got over them she moved onto the other things that Santa brought her!

Mimi's Santa also brought this super cute BBQ grill which was a big hit with Reese and Daddy:)

Eventually we released all the balloons which Reese thought was cool. I was so proud of her for later giving a balloon to Blakey and also one to both Emma and Ava who live across the street..sharing is hard at this age:)

She also got a cool Elmo book from Shutterfly with her picture in it. She enjoyed reading it over and over with Mimi and Nanny!

A few days of Christmas fun...

On Wednesday night before Christmas, Nanny and Poppy and Mimi and Bob came to town to spend Christmas with us. It was in the 70's and the weather was beautiful. Our favorite neighbors The Caffreys came over and we had a yummy dinner complete with games afterwards. I apologize for the crummy pic's..I'm certain that not only the Twister players but also the photographer may have been "over served"! Ha! Either way you get the idea..we had fun!

Even the Daddy's got in on some Twister!

I just love Mimi (Bob's mom) playing some twister:)! You rock Mimi!!

The next day was Christmas eve and we woke up to colder temperatures. We spent the morning just playing around the house. After lunch we put Reese down for her nap and Bob and I left to go workout and make a last minute grocery run. By the time we got back the weather was getting crazy and the snow was coming down.

My parents had planned to get up early on Christmas morning to head back to OKC so they could spend Christmas with my brother and his family but decided to just hunker down and stay with us as OKC had already gotten around 10 inches of snow!
We all got dressed and headed to church for Christmas Eve. I love this picture of Reese with both her grandmas..I know when she is my age she will cherish it!

After church we came home to eat Bob's seafood gumbo which is an old family recipe. Reese enjoyed helping with the finishing touches and it was YUMMY!

Then it was time for Reese to get ready for bed. She left this cookie and reindeer food for Santa. We tried to get her to leave the reindeer food outside but she wanted NOTHING to do with the cold and snow!

As soon as she went to bed "Santa" went to work getting things ready. Reese had been requesting a pink balloon for over a month but "Santa" thought a dozen pink balloons would be more fun:))

Reese got some balloons and a vacuum from our Santa and a cute pink shopping cart from Mimi's Santa!:)

Cookies, Cookies everywhere....

This year Miss Lisa and I decided to do Christmas cookies with the girls together. We started in the afternoon while the Daddy's were at work and then they came home with dinner after the cookie madness was over.

I have always made homemade cookie dough but since we waited until the last minute and we had two little girlie's who were ready to decorate we decided to use store bought dough. It was a huge mess and didn't hold any of the shapes that Blake, Lisa and I painstakingly cut out. Daddy did however turn one of the mis shapen cookies into this profile cookie...he's a nut! Ha!

The girls didn't seem to mind at all and LOVED decorating. I was really surprised how long Reese stayed interested...she pretty much loves doing whatever Blakey is doing:)

She was a happy camper..
