BALLET!!!

Last Wednesday when I picked Reese up from school she told me that some of the girls in her class had gone to ballet that afternoon and of course next week she wants to go too!! I said I would find out the details and we would talk about it.

Turns out there is a dance studio who comes in one day/week and teaches a 40 minute class. I had not intended to start her in anything like this until next year as she had been doing Mygym. Because of our new work/school schedule we had to quit Mygym so I thought it would be ok for her to take this class. When I ran it past Bob he was like "no I don't think so". Not exactly sure what his rationale was but over the next few days Reese proceeded to tell EVERYONE she talked to that she was starting ballet and man she was excited!!

So I finally tell her if she wants to go to ballet she is going to have to ask Daddy and she ran off looking for Daddy. Well y'all know how Bob is with this child...
I'm not sure I even hear any words exchanged between them but she comes back and says he said YES!! Ha!! On Sunday I took her to buy some outfits and some ballet shoes and she pretty much wore them all afternoon around the house. She is so thrilled!

So the big day for ballet to start is tomorrow. I may try to pop in at the school to see how it goes.... another post to follow:)

A Prince and Two Princesses!

Last Friday after work and school Reese wanted to have her peeps from the hood over to play. Since they all used to play together nearly every day they are missing each other lately.

Reese got a ton of dress up stuff for Christmas and this is her(and Emma's) favorite thing to do now days. So the girls went to change into Princess dresses and poor Tristan came and asked if we had a prince outfit. No we don't but it might be a good idea to get one! Anyhow Bob had just gotten home and took him into his closet to turn him into a prince..ha!

We love these goofy, funny, kids...

Primrose Preschool

The last month has been CRAZY at our house. After going back to work we started Reese at a Montessori school in Frisco. I'm not gonna say the name on my blog but they were BAD. We were very dis-satisfied with the place. Reese hated it and she was begging not to go back. We made her stick it out a bit just to figure out what was going on. Bob and I both popped in an random unannounced times to see what she was doing. Every time we found her doing NOTHING! That's right she was looking like a zombie when we dropped her off in the morning, same thing at pick up and same thing at random times through out the day. We quickly realized this wasn't going to work so we went back to looking at new schools. Because Reese was so happy at Rainbow Corner we decided to look for something more like that and we decided to try Primrose Preschool. Reese just finished her first week and a half at the new school and let me just tell you it has been like night and day. She LOVES it! What a huge relief!!! She loves her teacher, she likes her new friends, she likes the food, she likes the activities, etc. YAY!!!

Bob and I both got this email at work on her 2nd day of school.

Hey Mom and Dad,
I’m having such a great time in my new classroom! Ms. Bilquis is SO nice and I’ve made such great friends! Today we learned the rhyme “My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean” and we got to create our own picture while we practiced singing!

I got this one yesterday! I Love IT!!

Hey Mom, just wanted to let you know I’m having a great day!

Needless to say things are going much smoother now that she is settling in to the new routine. It was certainly an answer to our prayers!

SNOW DAY!

Last week we had our first snow of the season. It started snowing shortly before Reese was going down for her nap. She was begging to go out and play in it but I convinced her it would be much more fun to wait until after nap time when there was more accumulation. So after she woke up we bundled up and headed outside. It didn't take long until we had all our peeps from the hood join us:)

Tristan...

and Blakey...

We had some snow ball fighting going on...

As well as some snow man building. Daddy was sick in bed with a fever but Emma's Daddy stepped in to help.

Reese was so serious about getting his carrot nose "just right". She worked forever on it..

We stayed out over an hour before we decided it was time for hot chocolate. It was COLD! I had fun playing in the snow but I'm thinking I'm ready for some warmer weather! Happy Snow Day!
