Guess who is wearing these...

BIG GIRL PANTIES!! YAAAAYYYY!!

Last Friday Reese woke up and decided she was DONE with diapers. We spent most of the weekend at home hanging close to the potty and with the exception of nighttime she has got it down. We are soooo proud of her and excited about how easy it was.
She's pretty proud of her new panties which I let her pick out and she also picked out some "junk" from Claire's including this green nail polish...

When we got home from the mall it was time for me to fix dinner and I told her I would paint her toes after dinner. She just couldn't wait so guess who came to her rescue..

She's not spoiled at all! Ha!

4th of July Weekend

The last few months have been downright crazy at our house so as the long 4th of July weekend approached we were glad to have some downtime. We started with NO plans and pretty much just flew by the seat of our pants as we decided what we were going to do (which is totally not like me)! We spent most of the time being lazy either around the pool or inside when it was raining. On Saturday night we ventured out to a little celebration with the Caffrey's.

There was lots of food and games for the kids complete with a tornado like storm just about the time we got there..Yikes! Not to worry though they moved the party inside and the girls got some art work done...

Reese was super stoked with hers and I predicted that we would have a big fight at bath time in order to forever preserve it. However once she got in the car to head home she decided to wipe it all off. She said "this tattoo is icckkky"! Fine by me as I'm not a tattoo fan and hope to brainwash her at a young age to feel the same! Ha!

On Sunday we we went to church and to eat brunch at Mattitos. They had fun entertainment and Reese got this bunny friend balloon.

In the afternoon we hung by the pool and the girls goofed around making mermaid tails!

Tiny Tots Club Mission Trip

Our church recently planned a "mission" trip for the kids in the Tiny Tots Club (kindergarten and below) in an effort to start teaching them to be willing servants. They have been working on some songs for several months so the trip was that the kids would sing 4 songs at the nursing home and then help serve ice cream to the residents.

Reese LOVES to sing and she LOVES ice cream so she was excited to go. However once we got there she got a bit of stage fright. She didn't sing at all not even ONE little word. Ha!

She did have fun serving and eating ice cream so that was a hit! When we got home Reese started belting out the songs so I knew she knew the words. I asked her why she didn't sing at the nursing home and she said I just didn't want to sing yet. Little Toot!!!

Fathers Day 2010

This year Bob had to be out of town on Father's Day Weekend so we weren't able to do a lot. Reese and I made a cake on Sunday afternoon and picked up Babe's chicken before picking up Daddy from the airport on Sunday night.

I pretty much let Reese decorate the cake however she wanted so she was thrilled! Of course you'll never guess who blew out the candles....

Happy Father's Day Daddy

"Riding on a train, riding on a train, we love riding on a train!"

Reese has been asking for awhile to ride on a train. This past week my folks came to town and we decided to make a day out of trains. We started at the Interurban Trailway Museum in downtown Plano. It was a cute little museum with an OLD train car which we got to tour.

Driving the train with Nanny.

From there we walked across the street and got on the DART. Deciding where to go:)

This little girl was super duper EXCITED!!

We rode to the Mockingbird Station which was about a 20 minute ride with several stops along the way. Every time we pulled into a station Reese would yell "choo choo"! She was pretty entertaining to the other passengers. Ha!

The Mockingbird Station is a trendy little area with lots of shops and restaurants. We walked around a bit, had lunch and then got back on the train.

It was a great time and Reese is still talking about riding the train a week later. I love the little things that make her so happy:)

Memorial Day and Fishing Fun..

A few weeks ago Bob went on a totally impromptu fishing trip. Because of that he was inspired to take Reese to get all this...

a fishing pole and Barbie tackle box filled with pink worms...she was beyond thrilled!!

They picked a Saturday morning date to go do some fishing and Blakey wanted to tag along.

They went to the little pond in our neighborhood and apparently it was HOT and also crowded so they didn't catch any fish but the girls had fun feeding the ducks and turtles.

On Sunday we went to church and Reese wore this super cute dress from Mimi!

We spent the rest of the weekend swimming and getting out ALL of our pool toys. Yay for summer!!

Friday Fun-Day!

Reesey had Landry over to play today. We took the wagon to the playground and by the time we got back we were all HOT! Popsicles made it all better. I just love these two sweet, silly, ornery friends:)

Y'all know that I am a stinky photographer but here's proof that I really did try to get a good picture. Ha! Between looking at the popsicles and each other there was just no time to look at the camera.
