OU/Texas 2009

Bob and I went with some friends to the OU/Texas game this year. We were certainly not thrilled that we lost but we were thrilled to have a super fun kid free weekend. If you don't know the history behind this game you can go
here or to see what we did last year you can go here. It's kinda of a big deal:))!!

We got an up close look at the ESPN game day guys...

The fair, corney dogs, my sooners..it was a great day!

Reese on the other hand could not have cared less that we were even gone. She was in heaven having Nanny and Poppy all to herself all weekend.

My mom made us these cute stuffed pumpkins.

Reese absolutely adores my dad. He is her FAVORITE! I'm pretty sure it's because he is just like a big kid:)

However she is pretty fond of Nanny when it comes time to bake....what a MESS!!

We had a great weekend and there is always next year for my Sooners! Boomer Sooner!!!

Weekend Wrap Up

My folks have been trying to come for about the last three weekends and have had to cancel every time because one of them has been sick. So this past weekend my mom decided at the spur of the moment to sneak down by herself. Reese got some good one-on-one time with her Nanny and they were both thrilled!!
Nanny brought Reese this super cute painted pumpkin and Reese was in L-O-V-E!

On Saturday Bob and I did some shopping and then went to dinner and a movie and Reese never even missed us. She and Nanny played and played and played some more! I heard something about them making cookies and Reese eating cookie dough and emptying all the money from Nanny's purse into her piggy bank...real nice Mom..because she's not spoiled enough!:))

Mom went home Sunday morning and then Bob, Reese and I spent the day together. Since Reese doesn't get to spend much time with Bob during the week, on the weekends she is ALL ABOUT DADDY! Seriously she cant get enough of him:) It's a nice break for me and I absolutely love that they are getting so close!

They cooked us some yummy steaks for dinner.

Good thing Reese is learning to grill because I don't even know how to turn the thing on:)

After dinner we went for a little walk to check out some of the neighbors Halloween decorations!

Boooooooooooo!

Meeooowwww!

Bob and I love fall and Haloween! How fun it is to see it through the eyes of a child!:)

Happy Fall Everyone!

23 months old today!

Reese had been doing so good at Mother's Day Out that when they told me they had an opening on Tuesdays we decided to put her in. So she is now going two days a week and still likes it. I like it too:))) Here she is this morning before school in her Halloween outfit that Mimi sent. Bob bought her this little pumpkin and she carries it around everywhere..she calls it "pumpkin pie".

I can't beleive my baby is almost two!

The Great State Fair!

Today we went to the Texas State Fair with our neighbors the Hoopers. This was Reese's first trip to the fair. We told her before we left that she would get to see a cow. All she talked about the entire way was cows so we decided that better be our first stop. She really wanted to touch this cow but was a little unsure

so she drug Renee in for a closer look:)! Moooooo! Ha!

After that we moved on to the petting area. This was a huge hit!!

You can't go to the fair without eating a corny dog!

Friday Night Fun!

On Friday night our friends invited us to eat out with them. We had already started some chili and decided to stay in but invited their daughter to eat with us so they could go out. Reese was SO excited! After I got off the phone and I told her that Blake was coming over she kept telling us to "watch door" over and over. Little Miss Reese LOVES to have friends over and especially older friends!

They started with some chili

and then got to lick the brownie batter bowl! Yum!

After all that eating they decided to do a little reading...

and some coloring.

Blake is so sweet with Reese and they really play quite nicely together given such a big age difference.

They started playing in the jeep and somehow convinced Daddy to carry it downstairs and outside. We think that Blake will someday be president..she's very persuasive:)

Oh my gosh I have never heard Reese laugh so hard as when they were riding down the sidewalk! She could not stop laughing and of course neither could I:) Sorry this picture is blurry but they were moving pretty fast..ha!
