Downtime
This weekend was the first weekend in what seemed like forever that we weren't going somewhere, having company or just had a million things to do. So although we didn't really have anything we "had" to do..we still stayed busy and just enjoyed our little family. On Saturday we did our usual routine. I went to workout with the trainer and Bob and Reese went to breakfast. Of course Bob can't seem to take Reese anywhere without coming home with a toy or something so in keeping with routine he bought her some golf clubs. Yes I know she can't even walk yet so what is she going to do with golf clubs but it was sooooo cute to watch them play together.

After playing lots of golf and a nap..we took Reese to the American Girl Store. Although Bob had recently taken her there..I really wanted to see for myself:) It was so fun! They have tons of neat things, I can just imagine spending a fortune there when Reese gets a few years older!

Today we went to church, did some chores around the house and went swimming. All in all we had a fun weekend playing and spending time together.

The Toy Closet
Before Reese was born Bob said, "All the toys are gonna have to stay upstairs." HA!! Since we spend the majority of our time downstairs obviously this will never work. However toys were starting to be everywhere so I decided to turn the closet under the stairs into Reese's toy closet. This past weekend I emptied out the closet getting rid of some things that had been sitting in the exact same spot in that closet since we moved here two years ago. (Poor Bob has some weird attachment issues to some of his stuff so this was a bit tricky:)
Reese loves her little closet. She enjoys pulling all the toys into the floor and the best part is when she is done I can just close the door...don't worry I don't close her in there:) I am going to paint some fun things on the walls in there but I am waiting until my Mom comes back in a few weeks to help me since she is much more artistic then I am. Here is a pic

Who Needs Toys?
Ironically with all the toys in our house these are the things that Reese enjoyed playing with today.
Her nightlight

Tupperware:)

I am starting to feel like all I do all day is chase her around and stop her from getting into things she shouldn't get into. However it is so fun to watch her explore her surroundings for the first time. She is quickly realizing that there are many rooms in our house she needs to check out. I am dreading the day soon when she discovers the stairs...yikes!

8 MONTHS OLD!
Today my sweet little Reese is 8 months old! Each month I am just amazed at how she is growing and changing and how fast her first year is going. Originally I started this blog so our family in Oklahoma, Missouri and Florida could stay connected on the going's on of Miss Reese. Since it has really become more of a smattering of my random thoughts (oops) today in honor of her 8 month I want to make it all about Reese.
Here are her 8 favorite things:
1. Mommy and Daddy
2. Nike and sometimes Lady
3. Cool new mirror/singing toy (thanks Mimi and Bob!)
4. Swimming
5. Books
6. The $2.50 orange cones I bought for Strollerfit..who knew?
7. Ice in the mesh feeder
8. Bath time.
Baby Reese,
I never realized how much I could love until you. In 8 short months I have fallen completely head over heals in love with you. You make me smile and laugh each and every day and when you smile at me my heart melts again and again. You have kept me up all night, pooped and thrown up on me. You pull my hair, try to break my glasses and constantly tug on my shirt but I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world. You have a wonderful life ahead of you and I look forward to each and every day that I am lucky enough to spend with you. You are a wonderful gift from God. I love you. Mommy
