Happy Fall...Y'all!!!

In honor of the first day of fall Reese and I decided to color some leaves. I saw this in a magazine as a way to celebrate fall and I'm certain they were thinking of somewhere other then TEXAS! I'm pretty sure the leaves were supposed to be brown and "fallin" from the trees but not here! ha! We just went around and picked leaves we liked... they were still WAY green..

Fortunately my little person didn't care. She went right to work coloring leaves.

Here's a few of our favorites:))

Sure hoping we really get some fall weather soon!!

Dora, Dora, Dora the Explorer!!!

On Saturday Dora and Diego made a special visit to Mygym. Reese LOVES Mygym and she LOVES Dora so we just couldn't miss it!

This was Mygym's yearly open house so they had a short preview of a normal class and then lots of playing, singing and dancing before Dora and Diego arrived! All of the kids were super excited so it was a little crazy but Reese got a chance to love on them both...

Our Toy's R Us was recently remodeled and this weekend was the grand opening. After Mygym Daddy took Reese with the intent on seeing Plex from Yo Gabba Gabba. Reese likes "Yo Gabba Gabba" and although Plex isn't her favorite character she was happy to go see him.

Little did they know it was quite a party over there! I think these are "Veggie Tales" but Reese just knew them as

"Tomato"

"Cucumber"

"A Princess"

"Geoffrey"

No idea who this guy is but Daddy thought he was the coolest:) Ha!

We actually heard that Barney was going to be at the mall but thought this was enough characters for one day:)

First Day Of Pre-School 2010

Today was little Reese's first day of pre-school. She woke up excited and ready to put on her outfit that we had picked out a few days ago.

Yay for school!!

Since Daddy was already gone we did a self portrait..Ha!

After we got home we had a special treat to celebrate the first day of school:)

Reese had a great day. She took a nap like she was supposed to on her new nap map. She played and colored and listened to a story read by her teacher. Her teacher told me they were going to work with her on KEEPING HER SHOES ON! Yay I hope they can do it because we sure haven't been able to..ha! All in all it was a great day and we look forward to many more!

Meet the Teacher

Reese and I went to her pre school today to meet her teachers. I was trying to get a picture of her WITH the teachers but she wouldn't cooperate so here they are Miss Kim and Miss Holly.

Mimi sent a big box of clothes yesterday so Reese was pretty adamant about wearing this new green dress complete with pink shoes! Oh my Lord I have to remind my self to choose my battles!

Doesn't she look ORNERY....

Her class is called the "Laughing Lions" and they made a lion hand puppet for craft time. She loved playing with the glue the most! The teachers kept the the puppets for the kids to use later in class. Reese was not thrilled because she wanted to take it home and give it to Daddy..of course!

After the craft the kids had some time to explore the classroom while the mommas and teachers chatted. They have some pretty fun playthings...

Peek A Boo Mom!

We are looking forward to school starting next week. Yay!!!!!!!!!!

Funny little friends

These last few weeks of summer have been a little painful. It's so stinkin hot outside. The pool feels more like a big hot bath tub and we are OUT of fun things to do. Reese is really looking forward to pre school. She will be going to the same place she went to Mother's Day Out last year and EVERY TIME we drive by she says I want to go NOW! Believe me honey I want to take you NOW! Ha!
Anyhow on Monday Reese asked if she could invite Landry over to play. I thought it was a great idea. These little girls seriously make me LAUGH so hard. They really play well together and I just love listening to them talk to each other. They were also taking turns calling Ashton (Landry's big sister) on the phone.

They played some dress up and did some singing and dancing. Hilarious!

After that we went outside to ride bikes and I could barely keep up with the two of them much less the camera:)

Little Ladybug's

Reese Loves "Fancy Nancy" books! She recently got a new one called "Fancy Nancy Tea Parties" and it has lots of fun ideas for little girlie girls. Every time we were looking at the book Reese kept asking me to make these lady bug cookies...

We rolled out and baked the sugar cookies before nap time and then decorated them after nap time. Reese was in LOVE!

We had a TON of cookies so we took a few to our fav neighbors. Our friend Ashton said they looked more like watermelons then ladybugs but oh well! Ha!

This was a fun little way for Reese and I to spend a summer day together.

I have to tell you that these cookies were GROSS! Red food coloring tastes HORRIBLE in my opinion! Luckily Reese didn't mind though.
