Dress Like Your Mom or Dad Day
Several of the fun activities at Primrose this summer were dress up days. Today was "Dress Like Mom or Dad Day". Last night we laid out a few options but this morning Reese was pretty sold on wanting to be a "runner". I'm pretty sure she picked that so she could wear the metal..can't say that I blame her. I love wearing some bling after a race too:) So happy to be this little "runners" momma!

The Riverwalk San Antonio
We spent the last evening of vacation checking out the Riverwalk in San Antonio. As we were walking around looking for a place along the river my shoe broke and Reese started crying.
Poor baby was really worried about Momma walking around barefoot:( Luckily there is a mall along the river and Momma ended up with not one but TWO new pairs of sandals. Ha! After the shoe crisis we were starving and found the closest place with outside seating available for dinner.
After dinner we strolled around the river walk a little more and then got in line for a boat ride.
Reese said the boat ride was her favorite part and a great way to spend our last day of vacation.

Sea World Aquatica
We spent the 2nd day of vacation at the new "Aquatica" water park at Sea World. It is brand new and super super nice. Reese had never really been to a "real" water park and I had no idea how it would work out, if she would like it and/or be tall enough to ride the rides, etc. We walked in the gates as soon as they opened and were greeted by Harriet.
This was the nicest water park I have ever been too, and very kid friendly. There was only one ride that Reese was not tall enough to ride. She LOVED it. I didn't get many pictures because we were wet but we snapped a few during our downtime. They had a sand beach area and Reese was happy to get out of the sun and play in the sand from time to time.
I touched the Sting Rays but Reese wanted no part in touching them..ha:)
We stayed ALL day long, rode almost every ride more then once, played in the sand and the wave pool and Reese still wasn't ready to leave when we did. We will for sure go back to visit Aquatica again.

Sea World Trip Day 1
We made our summer vacation a trip to Sea World San Antonio. We drove on a Thursday afternoon and got to the hotel in time to swim a little while before dinner.
On Friday morning we hit Sea World bright and early. It was HOT so we made sure to catch some shows to cool off. Reese was fascinated with the trainers and has been saying she wants to be a dolphin trainer when she grows up:)
These guys were huge and so beautiful.
Reese really liked the carousel but her FAVORITE was the Shamu roller coaster...we rode it about 4 or 5 times:)
After roaming around the park most of the day Reese was ready to get wet. The had a huge Sesame Street Splash area for kids. Since we were planning on going to the Sea World water park the next day we were not wearing bathing suits. But it was SOOO hot and I had brought an emergency change of clothes so Reese splashed in the water in her clothes:)
Posed for a quick pick with "The Count" before getting wet.
Sure do love this little water rat:)

Little Swimmer-Summer 2012
Reese started her 3rd session at Emler this summer after taking a break from lessons during the spring semester.
She was not a very solid swimmer when we stopped lessons in December but this little girl has become quite the little fish this summer. I feel like I can breathe a tiny sigh of relief that she could get herself out of the pool if God forbid she fell in. I'm so proud of her but I get a little teary eyed every time I watch her swim across the pool by herself...what happened to my little baby girl:(
Floating on her back is her least favorite part, but she is getting really good at that too.
Reese and I both love her teacher Miss Hallie. She is very sweet and positive and she loves Reese too. Every week she tells me that Reese is a bright spot in her day and then she tells me the funny stuff that Reese has been telling her. Silly Reese.

Happy 4th of July-2012
This year was the first time Reese got to stay up late enough to watch the fireworks and she loved them!!
We braved the massive crowds and ventured out to Kaboomtown. We got down there earlier enough to eat dinner and roam around a bit before the fireworks started. Reese was a trooper. She wanted spaghetti for dinner and as we were walking by restaurants deciding where to eat the first few were not italian. She said it's ok "I'll be patient mommy". Wow! I'm so proud of this little girl.
After dinner little miss romped around in the bounce houses.
Then it was time to find our place to camp out for the fireworks and get ice cream of course:)
Happy 4th of July!

Wordless Wednesday-Rain
Reese thought I had lost my mind when I asked her if she wanted to go out and run around in the rain:) (There was no lightening or thunder of course.)
