The Circus

This past weekend we took a trip to the Shrine Circus. Reese nor I had ever been to a circus before so we were pretty excited:)

We saw some lions...

A whole bunch of elephants...

and talked to a clown:)

During intermission they brought out the animals for you to ride or pet. Reese wanted to ride this pony...and she had fun but the ride was really short.

I REALLY wanted to ride the elephant and since the pony ride was so short Reese decided she wanted to ride the elephant too...It was so cool! Those things are HUGE!

Reese's favorite part was the elephants dancing and acting silly..it was actually pretty impressive to see the way those huge creatures can move!

The first day of Spring-2011

Reese and I started out the first official day of Spring with church.

Dolly got dressed for the occasion as well:)

After church and naptime we decided to get a jump start on Spring by coloring some Easter eggs...

After naptime we put the finishing touches on the letters we re-painted on Saturday.

Have I told you how little miss feels about her new big girl bed...

SHE LOVES IT!! It is just her size and has been a very easy transition..Thank you Lord!

FLYING A KITE!

On Saturday after running a few miles in the horrible WIND I decided it would be a great day to fly a kite. Sooooo that's just what we did...

I was a little nervous if we could get it flying but it was a breeze. No pun intended:)

Look at her go...

This was the best Saturday activity we have had in awhile...a beautiful day with my beautiful daughter!

Elmo Live!

A few weeks ago our friends Landry and Erin invited us to go see Elmo live with them. Reese was very excited not only to see Elmo but to see Landry as she hasn't gotten to see her as much as she used to with our new schedule. So we got the tickets and were all set to go on Sunday after nap time. Reese was so excited she had been ready to go see Elmo since 7am! While Reese was napping I texted Erin to see what time we were leaving and she said "Oh Becky it's NEXT Sunday." NOOOOO!!! Since Reese had recently had strep throat and realized how yucky that made her feel we told her that Elmo had strep throat and he had wait until next Sunday to come see us. She wasn't thrilled but it worked.

Finally the correct Sunday for Elmo live rolled around! Yay! Little Miss Reese was so excited that she sang songs about Elmo all through nap time. I wasn't so thrilled that she never slept but what can ya do:). We snapped a few pics before we headed out to meet our peeps.

Once we got there we posed for a few pics with our pals...

Susan and Elyse

Erin and Landry P

The girls decided they wanted a sno-cone for their snack and they were all THRILLED with that choice.

Once we got into the show this is the only pic I got since you weren't really supposed to be taking pictures.
All three of the girls loved the show. Landry said her favorite was of course Elmo. Reese said her favorite was cookie monster and Abby Cadabby. However anytime Cookie Monster wasn't on stage she asked where he was so I think he was the FAV!

After the show we had dinner together which the girls also enjoyed. Thanks girls for a fun time! We loved it!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Reese's school has a Valentine's Day party every year and they invite parents to come and join in the fun. This year the week before Valentine's we got a massive crazy ice, snow storm and the school had some water damage from broken pipes.

Although they got everything back up and running parts of the school were under construction and they ended up asking parents not to attend the party because of space limitations. So the Friday before V-day was the party and Reese was convinced that this was in fact Valentine's Day. I saw no reason to burst her bubble so after school we let her open her presents. She got these cute matching jammies with Dolly.

A fun puzzle...

Some rain boots that she wants to wear rain or shine:)

Happy Valentine's Day Sweet Reese! I love you!
