St Nick Night

Bob grew up celebrating St. Nick night with his family. I don't really know much about it but Google tells me it's an old Dutch tradition. Anyhow so on Dec 5th we hang our stockings and St Nick brings some things to fill them the next day. Reese doesn't really get it yet but we still did some fun things to celebrate. In the afternoon we made some Christmas cookies. Reese thinks these are for Santa but don't worry we will make some fresh ones for him:)

St Nick stopped in at Mimi's house and he left this cute Christmas dress and candy cane lollipop for Reese:)

After dinner and bath time we hung our stockings..

The next day we went back to check and low and behold St Nick left some fun things for us:)

Disney Princesses on Ice!!

Every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving I spend the day working on the Christmas decorations. It has become a tradition that Bob and Reese spend the day together so I can knock it all out quickly. Last year they went to see Yo Gabba Live and Reese still talks about it a year later!! This year they were unsure of what they were going to do. Bob was thinking about taking her to a movie although I didn't think that would be very successful. We had talked about Disney on Ice and the tickets were a little more then we wanted to spend..so they headed out to run some errands one of which was dropping off some stuff at Habitat for Humanity. When they pulled up there was a sign selling Disney on Ice tickets for 10 bucks..SCORE!!

Since they didn't know they were going Bob didn't take the camera so the pics are from his phone but you get the idea:)
Before the show little Miss with her popcorn and HUGE lemonade...I was like how many times did she have to go potty?! HA! Poor Daddy!

A few pics of the show...

Reese had a great time and was so excited to come home and tell me all about the show! Daddy said the show wasn't too bad:))

"Fancy Nancy" BIrthday Party!

Reese had a few of her favorite little people over to help celebrate her 3rd birthday. She chose a "Fancy Nancy" theme.

They started with a craft of making butterfly wings "fancy"...

with the help of Nanny and Blake.

Look at the concentration...

Elyse..

Emma....

Lily....

Of course I wouldn't have any pictures if it were for Landry's Momma! Thanks Erin!

According to Fancy Nancy, sandwiches should be served with frilly toothpicks:)

Reese requested a "crown" cake and this was my best attempt! I really need to practice a little more then just once a year at her birthday!

Our sweet friend Blake was an awesome helper!

She helped out with the craft and got the girls set up playing a few games and dressing up. They were funny...

After they played a bit and had lunch it was time for CAKE!!

The "daddy-razzi" was close by:)

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Girl! Mommy and Daddy love you so so much!

Reese had a great time! Thank you to all her friends who helped make her birthday such a special day.

Happy Halloween 2010

After all the Halloween/pumpkin activities we have been enjoying Reese was thrilled that Sunday was in fact "Halloween day"! We started the day with church where she got to wear her costume and the kids had a little party in Sunday school. After church, lunch and nap time it was time to get ready for the neighborhood block party and finally trick or treating. I think Bob was just as excited as Reese to go trick or treating..he loves Halloween!

Blake the tooth fairy and Reese the butterfly before the party..

The pipe cleaner "antenna" were a last minute addition as Reese wanted something pink in her hair like Blake. I was not going for the pink hairspray:)

The block party was fun along withe the usual mass chaos of chasing a nearly 3 year old chasing the 87907668888 other children at the party:)

Reese was stoked to catch up with all her peeps..
Olivia the pig..aka Emma

Tristan the Iron Man(I think?) You can tell I'm a girl mom because I have no clue about these boy costumes:)! Tristan just moved in across the street and he also goes to Reese's school.

and of course Blakey:)

The kids had a great time before heading out to trick or treat. Bob and Reese went trick or treating with Emma and her folks while I stayed home to pass out candy. It was a fun night. Of all the candy Reese's favorite thing was 2 little jars of play-doh that she got. She LOVES that messy stuff:)

Carving Pumpkins

We decided Friday night would be a good night to carve our pumpkins so we could have jack-o-lanterns for the weekend. Daddy did most of the carving on the two big pumpkins and Reese and I helped with cleaning them out.

Then Reese decided she wanted to do a little one so we worked on it together. She wanted one happy and one sad so we ended up with two happy and one sad. Reese was pretty proud of our work:)
