Reese's Date with Daddy (and Blake)!

On Wednesday night I went to a Mom's Night out Party with my Strollerfit group! It was a lot of fun and great to get to see everyone again. I didn't take a single picture..oops!

However while I was gone Reese got to go on a date with Daddy and she chose to invite Blake. They went to Chuck-E-Cheese and from what I can tell it looks like the had a BLAST!

This one is my ABSOLUTE favorite!!

Thanks Daddy fore letting me have a night out:)

Reese's First Gingerbread House....

was a HUGE mess! ha! While the Daddy's watched the Cowboys game, Blake, Renee, Mrs Lisa and I worked on the gingerbread house! This was the first time I had ever done one of these and maybe one of the last..sheesh! It was a huge mess and hard but as you can tell from the pics the kiddos all had fun with it. Reese hasn't even noticed yet but after every one went home and she went to bed we just chunked it in the trash..sad huh! Reese really was more interested in licking all the candy and frosting then actually decorating anything so she had fun regardless of the end result:)

I think we are gonna try some Christmas cookies soon..even if they are a messy disaster they should still taste good right:)!

5K's, Santa and Reindeer!!!

Last Saturday our neighborhood hosted a winter festival. They had a 5K race, Santa, bounce house and real reindeer! Reese spent the first part of the morning with the Caffreys so Bob and I could go run the race. It was FREEZING but we still had a good run.

After the race The Caffreys brought the girls to the park to meet us. Reese is in heaven anytime she gets to hang out with Blakey so she was really excited to have Blake, Santa and reindeer all in the same day!

The reindeer were a HUGE hit with both girls....

Santa not so much! ha! We waited in the long line to see Santa and Reese was fine. She even told us several times that she planned to ask Santa for "a balloon"! When it was our turn she started screaming..of course we didn't make her go but she didn't stop screaming until Blake stopped talking to Santa too:) Funny girl!

We still have one more Santa visit planned so we are hopeful for better luck then.

A Christmas Party!

Reese and I hosted a holiday playgroup and lunch this year to kick off the Christmas season with our friends. It was a little hectic with 7 two year olds but so much fun! Reese kept saying "all my friends are here"! We had some lunch and the kids played and played and played. The Mommy's all had fun talking and eating too. I didn't take a single picture but of course Erin did:) Thanks E!

Landry(Erin's daughter) and Reese were about the only ones who wanted to sit for a picture. These two girls are such sweet friends..I just love them both:)

We waited until the end to try and take a group pic..they were a little less then cooperative:! ha!

Reese and I had a great time with our friends..we love you all!!!

Decorating the Christmas Tree..

On Saturday while Bob and Reese went to see Yo Gabba I was able to get all the Christmas stuff out, organized, furniture re-arranged etc. I saved the actual decorating of the tree for us to do together as a family for the first time! I must say that while it was so fun with Reese it was also tough as she was into EVERYTHING! Bob and I managed to "help" her pretty well and I think we only had one ornament "casualty"! ha!

We waited until Sunday morning to decorate the tree so we were all still in our jammies:))

Yo Gabba Gabba...

All our family went home on Saturday morning after Thanksgiving. I wanted to spend the day working on my Christmas decorations so Bob decided to take Reese to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Reese loves her some Yo Gabba, she can sing most of the songs and knows all the characters. I wasn't sure how she would do but we thought it was worth a try. They both had a BLAST! Bob said Reese was yelling "Yo Gabba Gabba" with the crowd and she sang and danced throughout the whole show.

Here she is waiting for the show to start eating the snack I sent her.

Wathcing the show with her glow stick that Daddy bought her.

After the show with Daddy!

Daddy said you can't go to a concert without getting a t-shirt:)

Reese has been talking about the show all week and even told her teachers at MDO about it!

Much to be Thankful For...

We changed up our routine a little this year and it was fun! Reese and I (and Daddy) cooked A-LOT! Daddy and the other Daddy's played golf on Wednesday and Reese and I started cooking..

We made some yummy white chili which we shared with my parents and The Caffrey's on Wednesday night. Blake brought over a bunch of dress up clothes and the girls played while the adults ate and visited.

On Thanksgiving morning we had a yummy brunch with the Caffrey's and the Hooper's and then watched the parade. Reese was not at all intersted in the parade until "Yo Gabba Gabba" came on..she was tha-rilllled! It was so CUTE!

After everyone went home Reese helped Nanny and Poppy browse the adds for Black Friday. Mom and I needed to scope out our shopping plan and I think Reese was pointing out things she wanted for Christmas:)!

Next it was time for Daddy to get the turkey ready to go into the oven. Lately nobody can cook anything in our house without a little helper and this was no exception. They were both pretty proud of this bird...which they named "Stanley"!

After nap time we walked over the to the Caffreys for wine and cheese and part of the Cowboys game. It was a nice little snack before the big meal..the girls played tennis while the adults well..had wine:)

The Caffreys deep fried a turkey and this was something I had never seen before so I was pretty interested in the process...

It was a HUGE mess but really good too!

Then it was time to go home and take our turkey out of the oven and get ready for the big meal.

Look at these three beggars..Nanny, Reesey and Blakey! Of course Daddy gave them bites as he was carving the turkey:)

We pretty much ate and ate and the girls played and played all day! It was a great Holiday with wonderful friends and family! We are very thankful for them all! Happy Thanksgiving!
