We get by with a little help from our friends....

Poor Reese has been under the weather for the last two days. Her doctor said there was a tummy bug going around and it looked like she got it. Fever along with all the fun tummy bug side effects..Yuck!! She has been pretty sad and pitiful. She really hadn't eaten since Monday so today when she insisted on eating with Dolly I let her. Being the complete neat freak that I am I suggested that she just sit close to Dolly while eating. You know so Dolly doesn't get food all over her.

That just wasn't close enough for Reese..she needed some Dolly love to help her eat. She was so sad so of course I gave in.

I almost forgot...

Today when I was outside taking pictures I snapped just one of my first love...

Nike!!

This great looking guy was my baby for 8 years! When Reese came along he was demoted to just "dog". Poor thing!

When we were playing outside Reese was chasing him around with her chair and then she stops and pets him and then yells at him. He is sooo sweet with her and this is one of the many reasons I love him. My sweet grey haired doggie:)

FORT THOMAS!

Since building the pool one of the home improvement projects we have been wanting to do was replace our fence. The old one was pretty rickety and we wanted to expand the fence area for more dog/kid play area. The fence builder started working last week and with the lovely Texas weather a 3-4 day job turned into a 2 week job! But the new fence is lovely and we love the new gate which allows for a nice safe place for Reese to run and play while still enjoying the view of the pool.

They finished the fence and gate just a few days ago while Bob was in New York. I was super excited that it was all finished..then last night when he got home the D*&^ gate wouldn't open and he had to leave his car out front. Of course he was annoyed and it was all my fault!! Right!

This morning in keeping with Saturday morning tradition Bob was getting ready to take Reese to breakfast while I went to workout. I realized when he was moving Reese's seat out of my car (which was in the garage) into his car (which was out front) that the D&^* gate was still broken!!

Soooo they leave and he says to me..."you need to get that fence guy out here to fix that!" Great!

I call the fence guy who says they will come out "sometime" this morning. I cancel any and all plans for myself this morning and I LOUNGE around in my Pj's:)By noon the fence guy has come and gone and the fence is all fixed..Yippee! Bob said that while they were out he fed Reese lunch so she would be ready for her nap when she got home. Looks like they had a pretty "swanky" lunch...

While at "needless markups" Daddy also bought her this outfit...

Totally cute, only Daddy would buy her a Juicy outfit that will fit for about one minute:))

When they get home Reese goes down for her nap. I was so exhausted from lounging around in my PJ's all morning that I took a nap too. Really I almost never nap..seriously!

After doing almost nothing all day when we got up from napping we decided to run over to Sam's. I had seen some planters that I wanted earlier in the week and I wanted Bob to go with us to help load them into the car while dealing with the kiddo. While at Sam's I saw the cutest little raincoat and bought it for Miss Reese. When we got home we played outside and Reese was covered in mud. She came inside to eat dinner and was so dirty I had to strip her down. After dinner I asked her is she wanted to try on her new raincoat and of course she did...she was soooo funny...

You just can't go wrong with tennis shoes, diaper and a rain coat!

Then she decides to not only go outside in her new getup but she also has to make an important phone call!

Reesey P,
Daddy and I love you more then words. You make us smile and laugh a million times a day! Love you lots..

Easter 2009

Bob's parents came to town to spend Easter with us this year. In keeping with Bob and Reese's Saturday mornings together, Bob took Reese and his folks to a "Breakfast with the Bunny" at Central Market while I went to workout. I was pretty confident that Reese would not have much to do with the bunny so I wouldn't miss much. As I suspected Bob said she was terrified of the bunny and never got near him. She did however enjoy visiting and coloring with Mimi...

On Saturday afternoon we colored some Easter eggs for the bunny to hide.

It didn't take long on Sunday morning for Reese to notice the things the bunny had left her. She couldn't get over there fast enough...

Looking at a new book while Mommy and Daddy get ready for church.

After church and nap time, it was time to search for the eggs. Since it was raining
the bunny hid them inside..smart bunny:)

Most importantly we are thankful for our savior Jesus Christ during this Easter season! Thanks Mimi and Bob for making the trip to Texas to see us. Happy Easter Everyone!

Petting Zoo

On Sunday our Strollerfit group got together for some Easter fun! Reese and I were bummed that Bob had to go out of town and had to miss so we took lots of pictures. Reese LOVED the little animals and so did I..they were so cute!

This little piggy liked Reese because she kept feeding him...

This was also Reese's first time to hunt Easter eggs. She did pretty good and has been playing with the eggs all week.

They also had pony rides but Reese "protested" pretty strongly so no pony ride for her...maybe next year!
